Let’s Face it, in 2013 if you aren’t using Social Media to reach your customers, then you are falling way behind. NO, social media isn’t only for your teenagers. I am sorry to say that many people still actually think that SM is a fad that their children are into. The truth is that much of world is using some form of social media. So I thought it best to define social media for those who may think that Facebook and Twitter are the only two that exist…Pay attention, this might change the way you do business.
Social media is defined as a Web 2.0 property (meaning, that it is the second version run of a typical website). In layman’s terms, this is simply a site which allows participation. Think WordPress, Technorati, Pinterest, Flickr, and many many more. Imagine the possibilities.
The reach of social media sites is phenomenal if you understand that one person who is connected to your network brings with them their set of friends, who bring their friends. Let’s clarify that word “friends”. Friends can translate to members of a network, and for the savvy business owner-CUSTOMERS!
